Application Process

Thank you for your interest in renting from us. Any vacancies for our townhouse style
apartments are posted on the Vermont Apartment Listings section of
(Search “McHugh Apartments”).

We process applications upon receipt. Only complete applications will be processed.

Please note that we only accept applicants with very good credit. If an applicant has less
than very good credit, we may consider allowing the prospective tenant to get a
Guarantor (co-signer), but, if we do, the Guarantor must have very good credit. All adult
prospective tenants must complete and sign our Application to Rent. Incomplete
applications will not be processed.

We conduct credit and background checks on each prospective adult who will be staying
at the apartment (and on each Guarantor, if applicable). To reimburse us for our actual
out-of-pocket costs in running each credit and background check, we require $16.00 (as reimbursement for our out-of-pocket expenses) from each adult who will be staying at the apartment (and from each Guarantor, if applicable).

All checks (for our credit and background check, security deposits and rent) must be made payable to “McHugh & McHugh, LLC” and must be mailed to the following address:

We may also require that your current or previous landlord complete a Landlord Reference Form.

If your application is approved, we will email you a completed draft of our Lease.  Only when we have a complete (keep the blank Exhibit B with the copy) and fully-executed Lease (initialed on every page where indicated and signed), along with receipt of the Security Deposit, will the apartment be yours to rent, subject to the terms and conditions of the Lease.
